“I am a person who continually destroys the possibilities of a future because of the numbers of alternative viewpoints I can focus on the present.”

consider this:

thor is always running into little kids who are thrilled to meet him - he doesn’t really understand the concept of signing autographs, but he starts carrying asgardian toys around in his pockets to give to kids he meets (much to shield’s chagrin - how are we…

 Woodstock, 1969.
"They went to a psychedelic pasture to listen to their music, to be with people who dressed like them and played like them. There was a shared bond on a cosmic scale, and their elders marveled that all these kids could be in one place for three days without violence or mayhem, despite pitifully inadequate facilities and food supplies, and despite rains that fell so long and hard they would have drowned any other party. The lesson was simple: These long-haired, antiwar bra-burners and boys with beads had created a field of dreams, and perhaps from it would rise something bright and beautiful for the future."

“The worst part about anything that’s self destructive is that it’s so intimate. You become so close with your addictions and illnesses that leaving them behind is like killing the part of yourself that taught you how to survive.”

STAY | ALIVE | PROJECT
"On behalf of the skeleton clique, this certificate is awarded to Joshua Dun and Twenty One Pilots in recognition of the completion of the STAY ALIVE PROJECT. $3000 was donated in your name to TO WRITE LOVE ON HER ARMS in an effort to raise awareness of youth depression, self-injury, and suicide."

I remember seeing a while ago on twitter (yeah, I see your tweets), this thing called “stay alive project”. I started seeing more and more tweets and posts online about it. What happened is, for my birthday, people from all over donated money to go towards a goal of $3,000 which would be donated to an organization called “To Write Love on Her Arms”. Our culture, including myself, and kids like me or younger than me have been bombarded with overwhelming thoughts, ideas, and accessibility to self harm or suicide. Music is something that truly helped save my life, or at least was a gateway to do so, and if I can use music to help somebody do the same, then that’s all I really want. I’m honored to receive this certificate on behalf of so many people willing to help with this cause/organization to donate money in my name. Thank you. Stay alive, stay street, and try as hard as possible to turn your pain into something constructive.

i need ferguson to go down in history books. i need school children in the year 2074 to learn about michael brown being shot on august 9th, 2014 by officer darren wilson. i need this to spark a movement. this can not lose the focus of society a mere month after it happened.
